This brung Jason Parr to the crease batting alongside James Reed.
The pair were assigning conditions well & by drinks had begun to build a great partnership with the score at 125/1, James Reed the first man to get his 50 playing a solid Innings.
Jason soon began to catch him up & a couple overs after he was onto his 50.
The pair continued on scoring well & it wasn’t until the 32nd over that Halberton got their second breakthrough of James Reed for a well played 73 off the bowling of Jo Parkinson.
Skipper Parr came to the crease to join older brother Jason for the first time this season, the skipper had only one game in mind & that was to hit boundaries with just 13 overs left in the innings.
Brendon smashing his first ball for 4, as Jason continued his form at the other end bringing up his century in style.
The brother’s both showed the dangerous hitting skills as Brendon quickly brung up his 50 within 6 overs.
They continued on, right to the end of the innings putting on an unbeaten 148 partnership in just 75 balls. Jason scored a well-deserved 150 not out & younger Brother Brendon a quick fire 80 not out.
This left Tivvy with a strong 346 / 2 off their 45 overs.
With big runs on the board Tiverton were confident at the half way stage.
Andy Blake & Nick Roud opened the batting for Halberton, a positive start for them getting them to 51/0 off 9 overs.
Richard Pugsley & Sam Reed held the pair up & the next 6 overs went for just 9 runs.
Halberton’s positive game had then stopped & they never looked to win the game from there on.
It wasn’t until the 35th Over that Alex Dixon got the breakthrough of Nick Roud for 53. The score at 125/1.
The Next over Young Jake Stoneman picked up his first wicket for the club removing Andy Blake for 73. A huge moment in the game which then gave Tivvy something to play for.
The skipper himself picked up 3 late wickets , & Jason Parr picking up a caught and bowled himself.
Halberton ending them Innings on 184/6.
Tivvy now look forward to a huge game against Cullompton next week.
